BKS reported a narrower fiscal fourth-quarter loss.
Barnes & Noble posted a quarterly loss of $57.6 million, or $1.08 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $59.4 million, or $1.04 per share. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.92 per share.
Its revenue came in at $1.38 billion, versus analysts' estimates of $1.48 billion.
Its retail sales gained 5% to $1.05 billion, while nook sales dropped 11% to $164 million.
Barnes & Noble shares closed at $15.24 yesterday.
