posted a loss in the first quarter. Enerplus projects 2012 production to surge 10% to 83,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Enerplus posted a quarterly loss of C$33.8 million, or 18 Canadian cents a share, versus a year-ago profit of C$29.5 million, or 17 cents a share. US natural gas prices dropped 40% y/y in January-March quarter. Enerplus shares closed at $16.82 yesterday.
