RBS Posts Wider Q1 Loss

Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC RBS reported a wider first-quarter loss. RBS posted a quarterly net loss of 1.52 billion pounds ($2.46 billion), versus a year-ago loss of 528 million pounds. Its net interest income declined to 3 billion pounds from 3.3 billion pounds. RBS shares closed at $7.87 yesterday.
