UPDATE: Tyco FQ2 Net Profit Rises 3.8%

Tyco International Ltd TYC reported a 3.8% rise in its fiscal second-quarter earnings. Tyco's quarterly profit climbed to $327 million, or $0.70 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $315 million, or $0.66 per share. Excluding one-time items, Tyco's adjusted earnings from continuing operations came in at $0.86 per share. Tyco's net revenue rose 9.1% to $4.35 billion. Tyco in January expected earnings of around $0.77 per share on around $4.2 billion in revenue. Tyco shares closed at $54.66 yesterday.
