ABB Posts Upbeat Q1 Profit

ABB Ltd (NYSE: ABB) reported a gain in its first-quarter net profit.

ABB's quarterly net profit climbed 5% to $685 million, versus analysts' estimates of $674 million. Its sales gained 6% to $8.91 billion, beating analysts' expectations of $8.84 billion.

ABB's orders came in flat at $10.37 billion.

ABB shares closed at $20.22 yesterday.
