CALM shares dropped 0.41% to close at $34.25 on Friday. Samsung Electronics Co and Sony Corp SNE agreed to end their LCD joint venture. Samsung will pay around $940 million for Sony's share in the venture. SNE shares gained 1.07% to close at $17.95 on Friday. France Telecom SA FTE announced its plans to sell its Swiss unit, Orange Switzerland, to private equity firm Apax Partners for EUR1.6 billion. FTE shares rose 0.45% to close at $15.64 on Friday. Shares of Rambus Inc RMBS jumped 12.16% on Friday after the company signed a patent license deal with Broadcom Corp BRCM. RMBS shares closed at $8.21 on Friday, while BRCM shares dropped 0.02% to close at $29.76 on Friday. SunPower Corp SPWR announced its plans to buy Total SA's TOT solar energy unit for $165.4 million.
