Learning Tree International Reports Higher Quarterly Profit

Shares of Learning Tree International LTRE are halted in the after-hours following the release of the company's Q4 earnings results. They ended the regular session higher by 7.33%, at $7.32. Learning Tree International reported Q4 EPS of $0.12 on revenues of $34.3 million. Revenues increased 1.18% year over year. "We are pleased that our gross profit in our fourth quarter proved to be substantially higher than in the same quarter a year earlier. Largely as a result of that improvement, we grew our income for the quarter compared with our fourth quarter of fiscal 2010," commented Nick Schacht, President and CEO of Learning Tree. "Additionally, we continued to see strong growth in the number of our course participants who use our AnyWare system to take part online in our live course events from their homes or offices. In our fourth quarter of fiscal 2011, we had 1,876 AnyWare attendees, a 44% increase over the same quarter a year earlier." Learning Tree International, Inc. is a global vendor-independent provider to business and government organizations for the training and education of their managers and information technology professionals.
