DHX Media VAR VTG DHXM stock gained more than 1.5 percent early Monday morning after announcing a deal with Sony Music Entertainment (Japan). As part of the agreement, Sony will indirectly buy 49 percent of DHX Media's 80 percent interest in Peanuts for $185 million.

Precipio Inc PRPO gained nearly 45 percent after the micro-cap specialty diagnostics company reported preliminary first-quarter results. The company said its first quarter revenue rose 286 percent from the same quarter a year ago to $712,000.

Lumentum Holdings Inc LITE gained more than 4 percent after President Donald Trump said he will work with China to reach an agreement in which Lumentum and other optical names may be able to resume trading with the Chinese company that was found in violation of trade sanctions.

Xerox Corp XRX was trading lower by more than 4 percent after the company confirmed it has terminated a pending merger with Fujifilm.

Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc HMNY was trading higher by 7 percent ahead of Monday's market open. The company behind the MoviePass subscription service saw its stock hard hit last week amid reports it's close to running out of cash. According to Variety, the company hit back against concerns and said will be "doing more acquisitions of movies and companies" and the "feeding frenzy of negativity" isn't a concern to management.
