The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Semiconductor - Specialized: This industry slipped 3.2 percent by 3:00 pm. The worst stock within the industry was SunPower Corporation SPWR, which fell 5.6 percent. SunPower’s PEG ratio is 3.98.
  • Resorts & Casinos: This industry declined 2.1 percent by 3:00 pm with Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd (ADR) MPEL moving down 13 percent. Melco Crown shares have climbed 24.92 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 8.61 percent in the same period.
  • Photographic Equipment & Supplies: The industry dropped 2 percent by 3:00 pm. The worst performer in this industry was GoPro Inc GPRO, which declined 2.3 percent. GoPro shares have dropped 46.70 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 8.61 percent in the same period.
  • Drug Stores: This industry fell 1.9 percent by 3:00 pm ET. Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc WBA shares dropped 1 percent in today's trading.
