In the wake of an estimate-beating Q3 earnings report and in the midst of market-moving SolarCity acquisition news, Tesla Motors Inc TSLA shares saw some unusual price action Tuesday morning.
Around 11:00 a.m. EDT, the share price began to drop, getting as low $191.40 before slightly bouncing back.
The price action coincided with an Inside EVs article that estimates Tesla has sold 925 Model S Sedans in the U. in October.
Tesla could not be reached for comment at time of publication.
Tesla shares were trading lower by about 3 percent at $191.76.
The company will be holding a Q&A webcast to discuss its acquisition of Solar City at 5 p.m. ET.
