  • Summit Therapeutics PLC (ADR) SMMT shares jumped 91.3 percent to $16.55. Sarepta Therapeutics Inc SRPT and Summit Therapeutics reached an exclusive license and collaboration agreement. As a result, Sarepta has been granted rights in Europe, and Turkey apart from the Commonwealth of Independent States to Summit's utrophin modulator pipeline. This included its lead clinical candidate, ezutromid, designed for Duchenne muscular dystrophy treatment.
  • Seadrill Ltd SDRL surged 28.5 percent to $2.78 following reports of a possible refinancing option. While Bloomberg reported that the company's biggest shareholder, John Fredriksen, is ready to infuse $1.2 billion to restructure the debt load, SeaDrill indicated there is nothing to disclose. However, the company indicated it was in discussion with stakeholders on its refinancing and recapitalization plans.
  • Sears Holdings Corp SHLD shares rose 14.1 percent to $12.97. Bloomberg reported that Stanley Black & Decker has shown interest in Sears' Craftsman division, according to people familiar with the matter.
  • CorMedix Inc. CRMD shares gained 11.5 percent to $2.82. On Monday, CorMedix named Khoso Baluch as Chief Executive Officer.
  • Advaxis, Inc. ADXS shares surged 10.4 percent to $12.10. On Monday, Advaxis appointed Christopher Duke as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. CLDX shares rose 8.9 percent to $4.36. Brean Capital assumed Celldex Therapeutics with a Buy rating and a $16.00 price target.
  • Conatus Pharmaceuticals Inc CNAT shares climbed 8.2 percent to $2.12 on Emricasan abstracts.
  • KBR, Inc. KBR shares gained 5.2 percent to $14.33. Deutsche Bank upgraded KBR from Hold to Buy.
  • Avnet, Inc. AVT rose 5 percent to $42.52. Raymond James upgraded Avnet from Outperform to Strong Buy.
  • Aralez Pharmaceuticals Inc ARLZ gained 4.8 percent to $5.30 in pre-market trading after the company announced plans to acquire the U.S. rights to Toprol-XL® and its Authorized Generic from AstraZeneca.
  • Ollie's Bargain Outlet Holdings Inc OLLI gained 4.4 percent to $27.47. Ollie's Bargain Outlet will replace Parkway Properties Inc PKY in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close on October 5.
  • Pandora Media Inc P rose 3.7 percent to $14.69. Goldman Sachs added Pandora to its Conviction Buy list and raised the price target from $17.00 to $19.00.
