Allergan plc AGN and Vitae Pharmaceuticals, Inc. VTAE announced Wednesday, that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Allergan will acquire Vitae for $21.00 per share in cash, for a total transaction value of approximately $639 million. The Boards of Directors of both companies have unanimously approved the transaction. Allergan anticipates closing the transaction by the end of 2016. Vitae Pharma closed at $20.85 on Wednesday, up 157%. Bayer to Acquire Monsanto for $129/Share in Cash The Deal:
Bayer BAYRY and Monsanto MON announced Wednesday, that they signed a definitive merger agreement under which Bayer will acquire Monsanto for $128 per share in cash transaction. Boards of both unanimously approved the agreement. The acquisition is subject to Monsanto shareholder approval and regulatory approvals from 30 jurisdictions. Closing is expected by the end of 2017. Monsanto closed at $106.76 on Wednesday, up $0.66. GE Acquires Meridium for EV of $495M The Deal:
GE Digital GE announced Wednesday, it has acquired asset performance management software company Meridium for an enterprise value of $495 million. The transaction is complete. GE closed at $29.70 on Wednesday, down $0.15.
