The Pandora-Uber Partnership continues

Pandora Media Inc P upped its relationship with Uber, and it is pretty cool.

Pandora and Uber signed a partnership two months ago that integrates Pandora's streaming music service into the Uber app, which gives Uber drivers an innovative way to discover new music and enjoy their favorite stations.

Pandora said in an update on Thursday that since its announcement, Uber drives have played more than 60 million songs, which amounts to more than four million hours of music.

Following the initial success of the partnership, Pandora announced the next stage of its partnership, which now integrates its streaming music service into the Uber rider app.

"Riders with a Pandora account can easily create stations, thumb songs, and discover new artists from the backseat of their Uber ride and listen via their driver's car speakers," Pandora explained. "We're thrilled to help elevate the Uber experience by making personalized music available at the touch of a button. Once a music-connected Uber driver is on their way, you'll see an option to choose your own music for your ride. If the driver is listening to Pandora, you'll even see what they're playing."

Heading off to a celebration and looking to get in the right spirit? Perhaps something like Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feelin'" might get you pumped up and ready to celebrate a night away.

Coming back home from a long day at the office? Maybe a classical music channel is appropriate. Got a long drive ahead? How about a road-trip themed playlist?

The possibilities are endless.
