It may have taken right up to the two-minute warning, but DISH Netowrk Corp DISH and the NFL have finally resolved their carriage dispute.
Dish subscribers have been blacked-out from receiving the channel since June and with the new NFL season right around the corner, many were worried this wouldn't be resolved in time.
One of the issues at the center of the feud was over the NFL Network's inclusion on Dish's streaming skinny bundle service Sling. While terms were not revealed, the new agreement will see the channel be added in the not to distant future.
Sling rival PlayStation Vue already has a deal in place with the NFL Network, so there was significant pressure on Dish to find a solution. The blackout would have also impacted the very popular subscription service NFL Red Zone, but that network was restored as well under the new agreement.
Dish reaches 7 million homes, while its upstart Sling service counts over 600,000 subscribers.
