NXP Reveals the Exit of Private Equity Investors

revealed Friday that following the recent sales, its private equity investors have fully liquidated their stake in the company and no longer own any of its shares. In December last year, private equity investors became its shareholders at the time of the merger close with Freescale. As a result, private equity owned about 65 million NXP shares. That also represented approximately 18 percent of NXP's shares outstanding. NXP is driving innovation in the secure connected vehicle, end-to-end security & privacy and smart connected solutions markets. In the pre-market trading on Friday, the stock edged up by $0.05 or 0.06 percent at $84.40.
