With hits like "House of Cards" and "Orange Is The New Black," it's easy to overlook Netflix, Inc. NFLX's strong arsenal of children's programming.

On Wednesday, the streaming giant added another kids show to its ranks with a big name on board to shepherd the project. The untitled series comes from Josh Wakely, who is behind the network's "Beat Bugs." Like "Bugs," the new series will have a strong musical element being overseen by Motown legend Smokey Robinson.

The series centers around an 8-year-old boy who lives in the city of Motown and discovers he can bring street art to life. Robinson will bring sounds from the legendary Motown vault into the series as plot drivers. Songs from artists such as Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie and The Supremes are expected to be among the included tracks.

No date has been given for a possible premiere but it will likely debut next year. The second season of Wakely's "Beat Bugs" will bow later this year.
