disclosed Monday that it would live stream weekly out-of-market games from Major League Baseball (MLB), as well as, the National Hockey League (NHL). According to the social media firm, 120 Sports, the OTT network, would also produce an exclusive, nightly multi-sports highlights show known as 'The Rally'. The company claimed that this would be the first show of its kind to be streamed live on its site. Twitter said that the latest development of streaming the MLB, NHL, and 120 Sports streaming rights were due to its new alliance with MLBAM. Its CFO, Anthony Noto, commented, "Twitter is the fastest way to see what's unfolding in MLB and the NHL. MLBAM has pioneered streaming live digital video and we could not be more excited to partner with them on live games as well as 'The Rally', giving our audience the live sports events they are already talking about on one screen on Twitter." The social media firm also said that it would live stream 'The Rally', a nightly program produced by 120 Sports. That included highlights and expert perspective in multiple sports exclusively to its users in the America. The company added that 'The Rally' would utilize a distinct format meant to amalgamate with its platform with the help of Twitter-based data to decide live trending topics. It would also add other interactive elements for instant conversation and analysis of the moments, which matter the most to sports fans. That meant focusing on coverage of professional to college to action to Olympic sports and more. Shares of the company shed 0.61 percent on Monday.
