Twitter Aligns With Campus Insiders To Livestream College Games

revealed Friday a fresh digital media rights alliance with Campus Insiders, highlighted by the live streaming of over 300 college sports events. According to the company, Campus Insiders would stream the live college games on the social website with an extensive line¬up of football, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, volleyball, field hockey, water polo and swimming. Twitter said that apart from live events, Campus Insiders and the ACC Digital Network would contribute timely video, as well as, on demand clips of game highlights, breaking news and "must see moments" from the top ranked schools and colleges in the country on its site. The social media firm's CFO, Anthony Noto, said, "Twitter is the fastest way to see what's happening in sports. Our partnership with Campus Insiders will bring live streaming video of college sports directly to the people who are already talking about it on Twitter, all on a single screen." The company said that in 2011, Silver Chalice unveiled its digital sports network business and launched the ACC Digital Network, a ground¬breaking partnership with the Conference and Raycom Sports. They continued to offer game highlights, Must See Moments, full game archives, interviews, and special features on a daily basis. On Friday, the stock shed 3.10 percent at the time of writing this.
