Engility Gets $29 Million Contract To Support Air Cushion Vehicles For American Navy

Engility Holdings, Inc. EGL revealed Tuesday that it was granted a $29 million contract to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), delivering a broad spectrum of engineering services for Air Cushion Vehicles (ACV). According to the company, it was the landing craft used by the American Navy to move materiel, as well as personnel to shore and across the beach from ship.

Engility Holdings said the contract was granted during the second quarter and that this fresh five-year cost-plus-fixed-fee contract covered legacy work that the company has been delivering on the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC)-1 Class. The company added that it would widen work into the fresh Ship-to-Shore Connector LCAC-100 Class.

The company's CEO, Lynn Dugle, said, "This win allows Engility to expand our model-based engineering portfolio to include the next generation of Navy hovercraft, which provide vital transportation for weapons systems, personnel, cargo and equipment from ship to shore. The NSWC PCD is a valued customer, and Engility looks forward to supporting their mission with highly specialized experts with world-class credentials."

Engility said its Expeditionary Solutions team would offer Expeditionary Warfare Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Navigation, & Electrical (C4N&E) services. That included the complete model-based engineering lifecycle ranging from requirements development to engineering design and from development to fleet support.
