  • Polycom Inc PLCM shares gained 12.8 percent to $12.27 after the company revealed Friday that private equity firm, Siris Capital Group, LLC and its affiliates, have submitted a unilaterally binding offer to buy all outstanding shares for $12.50 per share in cash.
  • TASER International, Inc. TASR shares gained 7.1 percent to $27.59 after Dallas police shooting.
  • Gap Inc GPS gained 5.1 percent to $22.74. Gap reported a 2 percent rise in its comparable sales for June, while total sales increased to $1.57 billion from $1.54 billion.
  • Capital One Financial Corp. COF rose 4.4 percent to $64.64. DA Davidson upgraded Capital One Financial from Neutral to Buy.
  • Smith & Wesson Holding Corp SWHC shares rose 4.2 percent to $29.47 after a deadly shooting in downtown Dallas.
