Diamond-Encrusted Pillsbury Doughboy And Some Other Items From Whitey Bulger's Auction
The U.S. Marshals Service will be holding a National Live & Online Simulcast Auction, featuring personal items that formerly belonged to former organized crime boss James "Whitey" Bulger and his partner, Catherine Greig — in addition to other forfeited fine jewelry, accessories and valuable assets. The auction starts on Jun 25 at 10:00 (UTC-4 : AST/EDT).
The public sale is being coordinated by Gaston & Sheenan, which asks for a $1,000 refundable deposit to participate in the bidding.

The Most Valuable
The most expensive item on sale seems to be a Platinum Gents Audemars Piguet Millenary Maserati MC12 Tourbillion Chronograph Limited Edition manual wind watch, with a start price of $140K.
The Most Fun
Among the almost 250 items on sale, one caught Benzinga’s eye: a diamond-incrusted Pillsbury Doughboy necklace. The 10KWG fancy link chain, 38"s, and 10KWG Dough Boy set with round single cut diamonds, approx. 12.50 cttw., fair/ I-J and treated blue/ SI1-I2, with 27 diamonds missing, will be sold for a minimum of $1,950.
Three more watches are being sold for more than $50K each. There’s a Platinum and Carbon Fiber Gents Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Grand Prix Limited Edition automatic watch, which starts bidding at $56K; Platinum Gents Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Rubens Barrichello II Chronograph Limited Edition automatic watch that start at $64.5K; and a Forged carbon Gents Audemars Piguet Millenary Carbon One Tourbillion Chronograph manual wind watch, which will be auctioned for at least $122.5K.
The Most Popular
The most popular item in the auction, as determined by the number of hits it’s seen so far is a Platinum eternity wedding band set with 13 emerald cut diamonds, approx. 13.75 cttw., exc./ D-F/ VVS1-VS2.
Also very popular is a collection of seven 1987 Canadian $50 1oz .999 gold maple leaf coins, which will open bidding at $6K.
For The Not-As-Wealthy
In case you’re a regular person looking for some bargains you can actually afford, there’s a ring starting a $5, a women’s Gucci wristwatch opening at $15, pearl necklaces from $30 and a Sony Bravia 40” flat screen TV, which starts bidding at $85.
