12 Stocks Moving In Friday's Pre-Market Session

Talen Energy Corp TLN rose 16.80 percent to $13.94 in pre-market trading as the company agreed to be bought by private investment firm, Riverstone Holdings LLC's affiliates for $14.00 per share.

Violin Memory Inc VMEM shares rose 13.07 percent to $0.6893 in pre-market trading. Violin Memory’s Director Donald J. Listwin purchased 500,000 shares of the firm's stock.

Ambarella Inc AMBA shares rose 10.40 percent to $46.90 in pre-market trading as the company posted better-than-expected results for its second quarter and announced a $75 million buyback plan.

Broadcom Ltd AVGO shares rose 7.80 percent to $167.00 in pre-market trading after the company reported stronger-than-expected earnings for its second quarter on Thursday. The company also announced quarterly interim dividend of $0.50 per share.

Ariad Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ARIA rose 5.39 percent to $9.39 in pre-market trading after gaining 0.91 percent on Thursday.

Northstar Realty Finance Corp NRF shares rose 4.97 percent to $14.15 in pre-market trading. NorthStar Asset Management Group Inc NSAM will merge with NorthStar Realty Finance and Colony Capital Inc CLNY in an all-stock deal.

GW Pharmaceuticals PLC- ADR GWPH rose 4.65 percent to $97.75 in pre-market trading. On Thursday, Cantor Fitzgerald initiated coverage on GW Pharmaceuticals with a Buy rating and a $181.00 price target.

Gap Inc GPS shares rose 3.77 percent to $19.01 in pre-market trading as the company reported a 6 percent drop in its same-store sales for May, versus a 1 percent decline in the 2015 four-week period. Its total revenue for the four-week period ended May 28, 2016 was down 5 percent to $1.18 billion.

GoPro Inc GPRO shares rose 3.17 percent to $11.06 in the pre-market trading session following Ambarella earnings results.

Warren Resources, Inc. WRES shares fell 26.32 percent to $0.0700. Warren Resources filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Immunomedics, Inc. IMMU shares fell 15.47 percent to $4.48 in pre-market trading after rising 6.21 percent on Thursday.

Zumiez Inc. ZUMZ shares 5.38 percent to $14.25 in pre-market trading. Zumiez reported a narrower-than-expected loss for its first quarter, but issued a weak forecast for the current quarter. The company’s comparable sales for the thirteen weeks ended April 30, 2016 dropped 7.5 percent, versus a 3.0 percent growth in the year-ago period.
