The Dow fell 0.21 percent to 17,753.27, while the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.19 percent to 4,942.91. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 0.27 percent to 2,093.67. The worst performing industries in the market today are: Application Software: This industry slipped 1.4 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Box Inc BOX, which fell 11.7 percent. Box reported a narrower-than-expected Q1 loss and raised its full-year guidance. However, billings of $75.9 million came in well below expectations for $84.1 million in billings. Long Distance Carriers: This industry declined 1.3 percent by 11:00 am with Elephant Talk Communications Corp ETAK moving down 3.9 percent. Elephant Talk Communications reported that it has received a non-compliance notice from the NYSE MKT. Regional - Southeast Banks: This industry fell 0.8 percent by 11:00 am ET. Hancock Holding Company HBHC shares dropped 1.6 percent in today's trading. Hancock Holding shares have dropped 9.88 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 0.17 percent in the same period. Regional - Southwest Banks: The industry dropped 0.7 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was CoBiz Financial Inc COBZ, which declined 1.5 percent.
