Colony Capital, Inc. CLNY, NorthStar Asset Management Group Inc. NSAM and NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. NRF confirmed earlier reports on Friday, that they have entered into exclusive negotiations for a tri-party all stock "at the market" business combination. There is no assurance a deal will take place or an indication of potential terms. There are no plans for interim updates. NorthStar Asset Management closed at $12.02 on Friday and traded as high as $14.50 after-hours. Ferro Said to Hire Lazard to Explore Sale The Rumor:
Ferro Corp FOE has hired Lazard to assist it in exploring a sale, according to sources as reported by Reuters on Friday. Private equity firms and other companies are said to have expressed interest in Ferro, the sources said. Ferro and Lazard did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Ferro closed at $13.92 on Friday, up 13.08%. Air Products to Sell Performance Materials Division of its Materials Technologies Segment to Evonik for $3.8B The Deal:
Air Products APD announced Friday, that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell the Performance Materials Division of its Materials Technologies segment to Evonik Industries AG for $3.8 billion in cash. The deal is expected to close before the end of 2016. Air Products & Chemicals closed at $144.57 on Friday, up $1.32.
