The Dow fell 0.54 percent to 17,735.09, while the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.51 percent to 4,780.74. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 0.54 percent to 2,064.61. The worst performing industries in the market today are: Computer Peripherals: This industry slipped 3.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Stratasys, Ltd. SSYS, which fell 2 percent. Stratasys shares have dropped 29.91 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has declined 1.54 percent in the same period. Movie Production, Theaters: This industry declined 2.8 percent by 11:00 am with AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc AMC moving down 6.3 percent. AMC Entertainment reported Q1 earnings of $0.29 per share on revenue of $766 million. Semiconductor- Memory Chips: This industry fell 2.7 percent by 11:00 am ET. Sunedison Semiconductor Ltd SEMI shares dropped 3.9 percent in today's trading. Sunedison is expected to post first-quarter results on May 9, 2016. Semiconductor - Integrated Circuits: The industry dropped 2.4 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Microsemi Corporation MSCC, which declined 5.5 percent. Microsemi reported Q2 earnings of $0.67 per share on revenue of $444.3 million. The company also issued a weak forecast for the current quarter.
