Sarepta Therapeutics Inc SRPT shares rose 22.21 percent to $14.00 in pre-market trading after gaining 4.81 percent on Wednesday.

Advaxis, Inc. ADXS shares rose 12.90 percent to $9.10 in pre-market trading as the company reported that the FDA has granted Fast Track Designation for its immunotherapy product candidate ADXS-HER2.

Facebook Inc FB rose 10.33 percent to $120.14 in pre-market trading after the company reported better-than-expected results for its first quarter on Wednesday. The social media behemoth posted earnings of $0.77 per share, $0.15 ahead of the Street’s consensus. Revenue of $5.38 billion, up an 52 percent year-over-year, beat estimates by $120 million.

Adamas Pharmaceuticals Inc ADMS rose 9.66 percent to $19.19 in pre-market trading as the company reported positive top-line results from its phase 3 EASE lid 3 trial of ADS-5102.

Medivation Inc MDVN rose 6.05 percent to $55.20 in pre-market trading as Sanofi SA (ADR) SNY offered to acquire Medivation for $52.50 per share.

Symantec Corporation SYMC shares fell 16.46 percent to $15.13 in pre-market trading as the company lowered its forecast for the fourth quarter. The company also reported that its CEO Michael Brown will step down.

Infinera Corp. INFN shares fell 14.58 percent to $13.30 in pre-market trading. Infinera reported Q1 adjusted earnings of $0.19 per share on sales of $245 million. Citigroup downgraded Infinera from Buy to Neutral and lowered the price target from $20.00 to $17.00.

FirstEnergy Corp. FE shares fell 8.46 percent to $33.00 in pre-market trading as Dow Jones reported that FirstEnergy and American Electric Power Company Inc AEP will need to receive federal approval for cost-shifting plans in Ohio. Barclays downgraded FirstEnergy from Overweight to Equal-weight and lowered the price target from $39.00 to $33.00.

Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ALXN shares fell 3.83 percent to $145.00 in pre-market trading as the company reported weak Q1 results.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated VRTX shares fell 2.96 percent to $82.00 in pre-market trading after the company reported weaker-than-expected earnings for its first quarter. Goldman Sachs downgraded Vertex Pharmaceuticals from Buy to Neutral and lowered the price target from $109.00 to $88.00.

First Solar, Inc. FSLR shares fell 2.29 percent to $60.61 in pre-market trading. First Solar reported upbeat earnings for the first quarter, but the company missed analysts’ sales estimates.
