Check Out PwC's 'Earn Your Future' Initiative

According to PwC, an audit and assurance, tax and consulting services provider, roughly half of nowadays’ teenagers are “financially illiterate” and more than 75 percent of the teachers who impart financial literacy indicate there is "a need for more appropriate curriculum resources.” In response to this, the firm created Earn Your Future, an initiative aimed at developing young people’s financial skills, to help them succeed in life.

PwC’s tools “not only help students develop financial acumen but also challenge them to prepare for the jobs of tomorrow that don’t exist today, the skills needed for those jobs, and the social issues to be solved through their talents,” the company explained.

The firm has initially set out to reach over 2.5 million students and educators, and had committed to contribute $160 million, including 1 million service hours.

One of the main elements in PwC’s initiative is the Earn Your Future Curriculum, which is composed of “easy-to-follow lesson plans accompanied by interactive handouts.”
