Time Warner Cable Makes It Easy For Its Customers To Locate Its Technician

Time Warner Cable Inc TWC said that its customer would get the advantage of seeing the real-time location of their technician with the launch of its TechTracker tool. According to the company, customers could find their technician's live location easily for service appointment with the help of interactive map enhancement. Time Warner said that it was piloting the new feature in Southern California and would launch it in all the areas covered by it before the end of May. The company's EVP and COO, Residential Services, John Keib, said that "We continue to give our customers simple ways to easily manage service appointments on their own time and in their own way. Utilizing Glympse's location sharing technology significantly enhances the in-home customer service experience and reinforces our commitment to on-time appointment arrivals. By providing real-time updates, it allows customers to conveniently plan for their appointments and eliminate any wonder about when the technician will arrive." Similarly, the partner, Glypse's co-founder and CEO, Bryan Trussel, said that "In today's on-demand economy, people expect a new level of engagement from service providers, whether it's waiting for their service technician or package delivery. Together with TWC, we have set the bar on what we believe customers should expect for appointments. With our robust location sharing technology, we enable companies to strengthen connections with their customers and create better experiences, on any device." TechTracker launched in October 2015 and features an automated notification process, which included pre-appointment reminders, as well as, the ability to make changes to appointments through notifications received. That helped customers to reschedule or cancel the appointment at each notification point. On Thursday, the stock traded lower by 0.58%.
