Zix Names Kelly Haggerty As New VP Of Product Management & Strategy

Zix Corporation ZIXI disclosed that it hired a Kelly Haggerty as its new VP of product Management and strategy. According to the company, he has more than two decades of career of growing software-as-a-service (SaaS0 security firms through his product leadership and tactical guidance.

CEO David Wagner said, "Kelly is an exceptional fit for ZixCorp. His experience in security, knowledge of the email security landscape, and history of contributions that led to significant company growth will be valuable as we plan and execute ZixCorp's long-term growth and profitability objectives."

Zix said Haggerty's career included leading product management for nine years at McAfee (now Intel Security). Between 2010 and 2014 he served as McAfee's VP of Product Management for the Security Management Business, where products under his unit experienced significant growth. Also between 2008 and 2010, Haggerty was McAfee's VP of Product Management for the SaaS Business Unit, contributing to 50% growth in the customer base during his tenure.

For his part, Haggerty said, "ZixCorp's advantages rest in its leading solutions, strong executive team and healthy company culture. "I'm excited to join a team that is dedicated to building on its position as the leader in email encryption, and I look forward to making an immediate and lasting impact on the executive team."

On Wednesday, shares of the company closed at $3.96.
