International Business Machines To Demonstrate New Capabilities of Aspera Files At NAB 2016

International Business Machines Corp. IBM said, in a statement to the media, that it would demonstrate a number of new capabilities in the innovative new Aspera Files at NAB 2016. The company said that Aspera Files clients included Digital Media Services, MLBAM, BASE Media Cloud and more than 550 other activations, which leverage the SaaS platform. International Business Machines' Aspera CEO, Michelle Munson, said, "Media companies need the ability to scale their business without the restrictions of a fixed capacity datacenter. Aspera Files provides the same speed, performance and reliability of moving large files over distance as our on-premises software, with all the advantages of a cloud-based pay-as you go service." The company stated that following the consideration and testing of other products, MLBAM believe that Aspera Files was the best fit to meet its key needs that included speed, performance, and rapid deployment. Digital Media Services President and CEO, John Pellicano, said, "With Aspera Files we have literally doubled the volume of content that we are now able to process and deliver online, and can now support our international clients with the same fast turnaround time our domestic clients are accustomed to." IBM shares traded 0.22% higher on Tuesday.
