Gogo Announces Fresh Hourly Pricing Plans

Gogo Inc GOGO announced, in a press statement, about the new hourly pricing plans for light jet, as well as, turboprop operators. According to the company, the move would make the connectivity an affordable one apart from being predictable for airframes of every type. Gogo said that the starting price is $39 an hour, and the new service plans offered the convenience of in-flight connectivity with predictable pricing. The company allayed fears of any overage fees or any surprises. The company indicated that the new plans provided no opportunity to buy blocks of hours and that there was any need for a minimum monthly fee. Gogo clarified that once the customer pays for the first hour, all that the customers should do is to pay for what they use and spend fees only when the service was used. Gogo's SVP of sales for Business Aviation, Andy Geist, said "After speaking with owners in the turboprop and light jet markets, the feedback we received was that predictable pricing plans are important". The SVP added, "So we created the new hourly plans with the customer in mind to offer plans with predictability and no overages." On Tuesday, shares of the company traded down by 0.74%.
