Cognizant Technology Solutions Elects Jonathan Chadwick As Its Director

revealed, in a media statement, that Jonathan Chadwick was elected as a Director. Until recently, Chadwick was the EVP, CFO, and COO of VMWare, Inc.

, which is engaged in cloud computing, according to the company. Cognizant Technology Solutions said that Chadwick was with VMWare since he entered it in November 2012. He left the company to expand his advisory roles with other firms. The company's CEO, Francisco D'Souza, said, "Jonathan brings a wide range of expertise as a technology, finance and operations executive to the Cognizant Board." He added, "As clients around the world turn to Cognizant to modernize their IT infrastructures for the digital era, Jonathan's extensive experience with key enabling technologies including virtualization, networking and security will provide a unique and valuable perspective to our board." For his part, Chadwick said, "Cognizant is a world leader in bringing practical business solutions to a global customer base. I am proud to be joining the board and look forward to working closely with such a well respected management team." On Monday, the stock shed 0.30%.
