SolarCity Announces Availability Of Solar Service In Western Pennsylvania

SolarCity Corp SCTY announced Monday morning its solar service is now available to customers in Western Pennsylvania. According to SolarCity's press release, potential customers will pay no upfront cost with a monthly bill as little as $30 per month, including design, installation, financing, insurance, monitoring and a performance guarantee. SolarCity plans on opening an operations center in the Pittsburgh-area soon and has already begun recruiting employees to handle installation, sales and other related positions. When the operation is fully staffed, the company expects to employ more than 75 people. SolarCity's stock showed no trades early Monday morning but have lost around 50 percent over the past year.
