Ever consider shorting Tesla Motors Inc TSLA's stock? Elon Musk has some advice.
The Tesla CEO on Tuesday afternoon answered a Tweet that asked, "what would you say to someone who is shorting your stock?"
"[P]robably unwise," Musk responded.
Shares of Tesla sold off about 3 percent in Monday's after-hours session, following a release that announced lower-than-anticipated deliveries of its Model X and Model S sedans. After being under pressure Tuesday morning, the stock was up more than 3.5 percent heading into the final hour of trading.

Wall Street analysts weren't bothered too much by the news.
Tesla is hoping its Model 3's $35,000 starting price will make it the first electric vehicle in the market with mass appeal. Within the first 24 hours of its unveiling last Thursday, Tesla received 198,000 Model 3 reservations.
Tesla shares traded just above the $256 level late Tuesday, the first time above that mark in six months. Prior to Monday, the last time Tesla's stock traded above $250 was in September. Shares of Tesla traded as low as $141.05 just two months ago.
