Ferro Corp.FOE has been approached by Apollo Global Management LLC APO for a potential takeover bid, according to sources as reported by Bloomberg on Tuesday. Ferro rejected the approach, the sources said. Spokespersons for Apollo and Ferro declined comment on the report. Ferro closed at $11.38 on Tuesday, up 4.69%. China's Zoomlion Sweetens Bid for Terex The Rumor:
Zoomlion has raised its bid for Terex Corp TEX, according to sources as reported by Reuters on Tuesday. Zoomlion is said to have added a $1.00 per share special dividend for Terex shareholders, raising its offer to $31 per share, or more than $3.4 billion. Reportedly Terex is asking for $32.75 per share in cash in order to be persuaded to terminate its merger agreement with Konecranes. Spokespersons for Terex and Zoomlion declined comment. Terex closed at $23.41 on Tuesday, up 7.43%. magicJack to Acquire Broadsmart for $40M The Deal:
magicJack VocalTec Ltd. CALL announced Tuesday, that it has agreed to acquire substantially all of the assets of North American Telecommunications Corporation dba Broadsmart, for $40 million. The deal consists of $38 million in cash and $2 million in magicJack shares. The deal is expected to close in the next 30 days. magicJack closed at $8.66 on Tuesday up 10.32%.
