10 Stocks Moving In Friday's After-Hours Session

Shares of Ebix Inc EBIX were trading up roughly 6.5 percent in Friday's after-hours session, continuing with the 1.18 percent surge seen during the day. Some analysts have attributed the rise to the anticipation building up around the company's fourth quarter earnings call, scheduled for Monday morning.

According to Estimize, the Street is modeling a 2 percent year-over-year increase in earnings to $0.46 per share, on a 3.4 percent surge in revenue to $62.75 million.

One of the largest decliners was Methanex Corporation (USA) MEOH, down about 5.35 percent. No particular news seemed to be driving the decline, which looked more like a correction of the 5.85 percent surge the stock experienced over the regular session.

Encana Corporation (USA) ECA was also trading down about 5 percent, in what seemed like a correction of the 5.33 percent gain it registered over the day.

Other stocks falling on Friday's after-hours included:

  • Cenovus Energy Inc (USA) CVE, down 4.3 percent
  • Tyler Technologies, Inc. TYL, also down 4.3 percent
  • Seattle Genetics, Inc. SGEN, down 3.25 percent
  • Gildan Activewear Inc (USA) GIL, down 3 percent
  • BlackBerry Ltd BBRY, down 2.5 percent
  • Descartes Systems Group Inc (USA) DSGX, down 2.3 percent
  • Avis Budget Group Inc. CAR, down 2.2 percent
