. Fitbit shipped 8.1 million units during the fourth quarter versus 5.3 million a year ago. For the full year, Fitbit shipped 21.0 units versus 10.9 million a year ago. Fitbit ended 2015 with a 26.9 percent market share. Meanwhile, Apple ranked second in the fourth quarter with a 15.0 percent market share and 4.1 million units shipped. However, Apple's 11.6 million units shipped and 14.9 percent market share for the full year was good for third place and trailed Xiaomi's 12.0 million units shipped and 15.4 percent market share. Samsung shipped 1.3 million units in the fourth quarter and held a 4.9 percent market share - good for fourth place.
Garmin Ltd.GRMN
ranked fifth in the quarter as the company shipped 1.0 millions and held a 3.5 percent market share. However, Garmin ranked in fourth place for the full year 2015 as the company shipped 3.3 million units and held a 4.2 percent market share. Samsung ranked fifth for the full year as it shipped 3.1 million units and held a 4.0 percent market share.
