Shares of NV5 Global Inc NVEE, a professional and technical engineering and consulting firm, gained more than 5 percent on Monday after the company announced it won a new contract with Verizon Communications Inc. VZ valued at $3 million. As part of the contract, NV5 Global will provide on-call professional engineering services, including civil and structuring engineering and surveying services. Dickerson Wright, PE, Chairman and CEO of NV5, said, "Our infrastructure experts in New York have built a top-notch civil engineering practice based on decades of applied experience in the industry. We want our shareholders to know that our portfolio of projects often extends beyond the state, federal, and municipal client work for which NV5 has become well known to very large private clients like Verizon." Liam Madden, Project Manager at NV5, elaborated, "The scope of services for this particular project includes utilities, site and civil design, and construction support. Specifically, NV5 will utilize New York State and New York City designs and drawings to assess interference impacts with various Verizon manholes, conduits and cable facilities. NV5 will also perform field surveys and design changes to mitigate facility interferences, and will prepare cost estimates and bid packages for inclusion into State and City construction bid packages for the Client."
