A New Harry Potter Script Is Coming In July

According to Pottermore, J.K. Rowling's website, Harry Potter and his wizard friends will return in two stage plays called "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II."

A print and digital edition of the stage play will be published after the play's world premier this summer. "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will open for previews on July 30 before it opens in London's West End later on in the summer.

The play is based on an original new story by Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany and is officially the eighth story in the Harry Potter series.

Jamie Parker has been cast as Harry Potter, Noma Dumezweni will play the role of Hermione and Paul Thornley will play the role of Ron.

Harry Potter fanatics last saw Harry battle Voldermort in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" back in 2011.

Finally, 2017 will see the release of four special editions of the first Harry Potter novel to mark its 20th year anniversary. A brand new edition of "Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them" will also be released next year with new content by Rowling.
