Apollo Education Group, Inc. APOL announced it has agreed to be acquired by a consortium of investors led funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management, LLC APO, and Najafi Companies for $9.50 per share in cash for both Class A and B shares. The acquisition is expected to be completed by Apollo Education Group's fiscal year-end, in August 2016. Apollo Education closed at $8.62 on Monday, up 24%. Trimble Acquires Sefaira The Deal:
Trimble (NASDAQ TRMB) announced Monday, the acquisition of the developer of cloud-based software for the design of sustainable and high-performance buildings, Sefaira Ltd. Terms were not disclosed. Trimble closed at $19.03 on Monday, down 1.45%. Pernix Therapeutics Exploring Potential Sale The Rumor:
Pernix Therapeutics Holdings Inc PTX is exploring a potential sale, according to sources reported by Reuters on Monday. Pernix is said to be working with Perella Weinberg Partners on a review of strategic alternatives, which includes a possible say, the sources said. Pernix and Perella Weinberg did not respond to requests for comment on the Reuters report. Pernix Therapeutics closed at $2.10 on Monday, up 5.53%.
