Mark Cuban Says Political Trolls Put 'Apple Fanboys To Shame'

Mark Cuban might already be a little bit tired of the 2016 Presidential election.

"The fanboy and fangirliness of political followers puts Apple fanboys to shame. This elections has taken twitter trolls to another level," Cuban Tweeted on Monday afternoon.

On Sunday night, Cuban Tweeted, "honestly I'm an ABC voter. Anyone But Cruz. Labeling everything and everyone including himself is the opposite of leadership."

Recent History

In December, the Dallas Mavericks owner called out Twitter Inc TWTR and Apple Inc. AAPL, saying Apple should ban Twitter from its app store.

"1) So how come Apple hasn't removed twitter from their app store for violating the [User Generated Content] & Personal Attack terms?" Cuban tweeted. "2) remove twitter from the app store for a couple days and they will solve any and all objectionable UGC content issues immediately."

As CNN Money noted in December, "Cuban didn't specify what objectionable content he was referring to, but social media has been increasingly criticized for enabling terror groups like ISIS to spread their propaganda and recruit members."

Fanboys

"Apple fanboys" have been written about numerous times overs the years, from site likes Quartz, Business Insider and BGR.

The term even has its own Wikipedia page. The page describes the term as an epithet used to describe a person who is loyal to Apple in an extreme manner.

"Although generally pejorative, the phrase has also been used in a positive manner. In October 2015, tributes were paid to prominent Apple blogger Gary Allen following his death. He was described as 'well known in the Apple fanboy community' having visited more than 140 Apple Store openings worldwide," the page says.
