TD Ameritrade Announces Appointments to Board of Directors

TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation AMTD today announces two new appointments to its board of directors. Irene Miller will join the TD Ameritrade board of directors effective immediately as a Class II designee of TD Bank Group, filling a current vacancy on the board. Miller is the chief executive officer of Akim, Inc., an investment management and consulting firm, and the former vice-chairman and chief financial officer of Barnes & Noble, Inc. She previously held senior banking and corporate finance positions with Morgan Stanley & Co. and Rothchild Inc. Miller holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Toronto and a Master's Degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Cornell University. She currently sits on the board of directors for both TD Bank Group and Inditex, S.A. Ann Hailey will join the TD Ameritrade board of directors as a Class III Independent Director, filling a vacancy on the board as of Jan. 1, 2016. Hailey has accumulated more than 30 years of finance, retail and operations expertise through executive leadership positions at companies such as Mobil Oil Corporation, Pepsico, Inc., Duggan Consulting Associates, Inc., Nabisco Holdings Group, Inc., Pillsbury Company, Limited Brands, Inc. and Gilt Groupe, Inc. She most recently served as president, chief executive officer and chief financial officer of Famous Yard Sale, Inc. and currently sits on the board of directors for Avon Products, Inc., Realogy Holdings Corporation and W.W. Grainger, Inc. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia and a Master's of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Additionally, the board has elected Todd Ricketts, who the Ricketts family previously nominated to serve on the board, to continue to serve as an Independent Director after the family's rights under the stockholder agreement end on Jan. 24, 2016. Todd joined the TD Ameritrade board of directors on Jan, 1, 2015.
