Regions Financial Corporation RF announced today that Cindy Rogers, senior executive vice president and head of Operations and Technology, will retire on December 31, 2015, after a 36-year career at Regions. Rogers, 59, joined the company in 1979 and was appointed head of Operations and Technology in 2009. In 2010 she joined the company's Operating Committee. During her nearly four decades at Regions and predecessor banks, Rogers held leadership roles across the enterprise, including staff auditor, senior electronic data processing auditor, manager of Deposit Operations, and head of Bank Operations. "When I asked Cindy to lead the Operations and Technology group in 2009, I had total confidence that she would provide the kind of leadership we needed as we emerged from a challenging time for our industry," said Grayson Hall, chairman, president and CEO. "Our customers and our associates have all benefitted from her loyalty, focus and integrity. I value the years we have worked together and wish her the very best as she starts a new phase of her life." In conjunction with Rogers' retirement, Regions will realign the Operations and Technology Group under the Regional Banking Group, which is led by John Owen, a senior executive vice president. The Regional Banking Group includes the Consumer Services Group, the Wealth Management Group, and the market leaders throughout the footprint. As part of the realignment, Matt Speare, executive vice president and head of Governance and Integration, has been named Enterprise Chief Information Officer, and Chris Brasher, executive vice president and head of Payment and Loan Operations, has been named head of Enterprise Operations. Both Speare and Brasher will report to Owen.
