US Stock Futures Decline Ahead Of Earnings

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. The housing market index for October will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 45 points to 17,070.0, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 5.50 points to 2,020.00. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index declined 10.38 points to 4,424.38. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were mixed today, with the Spanish Ibex Index falling 0.01 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index gaining 0.42 percent and German DAX 30 index climbing 0.64 percent. French CAC 40 Index gained 0.13 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.19 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average fell 0.88 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.04 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index declined 0.14 percent and India's BSE Sensex surged 0.55 percent.
