US Stock Futures Signal Higher Start On Wall Street

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. Data on consumer credit for August will be released at 3:00 p.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 103.5 points to 16,775.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 12.50 points to 1,981.00. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 36.12 points to 4,326.38. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index gaining 0.93 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index jumping 0.65 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 1.26 percent. French CAC 40 Index rose 0.83 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.53 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.75 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index climbed 3.13 percent and India's BSE Sensex climbed 0.38 percent. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Baird downgraded Tesla Motors Inc TSLA to Neutral and lowered the price target from $335.00 to $282.00.
