iPass Announces Partnership With Futur3 to Offer Users Wi-Fi Access in Italian Airports, Hotels and Restaurants on FreeLuna Social Wi-Fi Hotspots

iPass Inc. IPAS, the world's largest Wi-Fi network, announced today its partnership with Futur3, the largest Wi-Fi hotspot provider in Italy. More than 3,400 FreeLuna Social Wi-Fi hotspots will be added to the iPass network footprint in Italy, including key locations such as Verona and Milan Bergamo airports. In addition, hotspots from a vast array of hotels, restaurants, cafés, bars and gyms across Italy will be integrated as part of this partnership, helping iPass to reach 50 million hotspots by the end of 2015. The iPass service makes connectivity simple for today's "Wi-Fi first" society. Through a single login, users obtain automatic access and authentication to unlimited cost-effective and secure Wi-Fi on smartphones, tablets and laptops. "When it comes to connectivity preferences, many now choose Wi-Fi first over mobile data," said Patricia Hume, Chief Commercial Officer at iPass. "This is no surprise, as it is the fastest, and most cost-effective way to keep connected to what matters most while on-the-go. We are pleased to have partnered with Futur3. Its FreeLuna social Wi-Fi service supports our iPass Everywhere strategy by further growing our network. Our customers will now be able to enjoy simple, hassle-free access to high-quality, secure Wi-Fi services across Italy." "Wi-Fi has become essential to today's business traveler," said Massimiliano Mazzarella, CEO at Futur3. "Our partnership with iPass ensures that they can enjoy widespread, reliable and affordable access to Wi-Fi connectivity when traveling across Italy from the moment they set foot in the country. We are pleased to be working with iPass and look forward to helping its users stay connected and productive with our FreeLuna Social Wi-Fi hotspots."
