The following are the M&A deals, rumors and chatter circulating on Wall Street for Friday September 18 through Sunday September 20, 2015: Dialog Semiconductor to Acquire Atmel for $4.6B in Cash, Stock The Deal:
Dialog Semiconductor DLGNF and Atmel Corporation ATML announced Sunday that Dialog has agreed to acquire Atmel for approximately $4.6 billion in cash and stock, or approximately $10.42 per Atmel share based on Dialog's closing stock price as of 18 September 2015. Atmel shareholders will receive $4.65 in cash and 0.112 of a Dialog ADS for each Atmel common share. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 of calendar 2016. Atmel closed at $7.27 on Friday, a loss of about 2%. Equifax Confirms Proposal to Acquire Veda Group for $1.6B The Offer:
Equifax Inc. EFX confirmed on September 17, 2015, that it submitted a non-binding proposal to acquire all the outstanding shares of common stock of data analytics company Veda Group Limited for AUD$2.70 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately AUD$2.3 billion (USD$1.6 billion). Eqifax says there is no certainty that a deal will be consummated. Equifax closed at $97.04 Friday, down 1.34%. Hearing Anheuser-Busch InBev Close to Obtaining Financing for SAbMiller Deal The Rumor:
Anheuser-Busch InBev BUD is close to obtaining financing for a takeover of SABMiller SBMRY, according to uncofirmed market chatter circulating on Friday. SABMiller confirmed Wednesday, that Anheuser-Busch InBev had informed SABMiller that it intends to make a proposal to acquire SABMiller, though no proposal had yet been received. Anheuser-Busch shares closed at $114.33 on Friday, a loss of $0.48. Molson Coors gained 2%, closing at $84.38.
