Tuesday's After-Hours Movers Led By Oshkosh, Qunar Cayman Islands And Transocean

Shares of Qunar Cayman Islands Ltd QUNR were up more than 14 percent in Tuesday’s after-hours trading, after having risen 1.79 percent during the day.

The surge seems have been triggered by the announcement of the company’s second-quarter financial results on Monday evening. This was one of the Chinese stocks that rallied on Tuesday, following the Central Bank’s reduction of the interest rate and increase in lending limits.

Transocean LTD RIG and Eleven Biotherapeutics Inc EBIO were the biggest losers of the evening, both down roughly 8 percent. Transocean fell following the announcement of an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders where, apparently, the board intends to propose a cancelation of the stock’s dividend for the last two quarters of the fiscal year. The meeting will be held on October 29, and the Board will go over several other subjects including the election of a new member of the Board and a reduction of the par value of the company’s shares, among others.

In Eleven Biotherapeutics’ case, the decline does not seem to be responding to any particular news.

Oshkosh Corporation OSK was one of the biggest gainer's of Tuesday afternoon. After the bell rang, the stock rose more than 11 percent, which adds up to the 1.53 percent the shares witnessed over the regular trading session.

After the market closed, the U.S. Army announced Oshkoshhad won a $6.75 billion contract to build vehicles for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps that replace the Humvee.
