US Stock Futures Signal Higher Start On Wall Street

US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 41.5 points to 17,362.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 6.15 points to 2,079.65. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index surged 14.20 points to 4,533.20.

European markets were mostly higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.91 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index gaining 0.10 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 0.32 percent. French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.39 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.73 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.41 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 0.13 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 4.92 percent and India's BSE Sensex fell 0.48 percent.

Analysts at Macquarie upgraded

from Neutral to Outperform and raised the price target from $55.00 to $60.00. Texas Instruments shares gained 0.14 percent to close at $50.32 on Friday.
