The following are the M&A deals, rumors and chatter circulating on Wall Street for Monday July 27, 2015:
Teva to Acquire Allergan Generics for $40.5 BillionThe Deal:
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
TEVA announced Monday, that it will acquire Allergan Generics
AGN for $40.5 billion. Upon closing, including $33.75 billion in cash and $6.75 billion in shares of Teva. The deal is expected to close in Q1 of 2016.
Teva also announced that it has withdrawn its cash and stock proposal to acquire Mylan N.V.
MYL and won't pursue a transaction with Mylan at this time.
Allergan CEO Brent Saunders said on the conference call that the company may use the cash from the Teva deal for M&A. Amgen Inc.
AMGN and AbbVie Inc.
are potential targets, according to
Bloomberg.
Teva closed at $72.00 on Monday, a gain of 16.5%. Allergan shares gained 6%, closing at $326.98.

Xueda Education Group
XUE announced Monday, that Xiamen Insight Investment Co., Ltd. will acquire Xueda for $5.50 in cash per ADS. The deal, is expected to close in Q4 of 2015
Xueda shares closed at $4.82 Monday, a gain of 50%.
McGraw Hill Financial to Acquire SNL Financial for $2.225B in CashThe Deal:
McGraw Hill Financial
MHFI announced Monday, that it has agreed to acquire SNL Financial for approximately $2.225 billion in cash. The deal is expected to close in Q3 of 2015,
McGraw Hill Financial closed at $99.59 on Monday, down $5.99.
